Today's migration derived from unstable locales; disruptions imposed on locales,AND facilitated by accessible transportation are an anthropological antiquity trait. Traditional migrations were inherently colonizing since a non-resident people were occupying a foreign territory. Examples of invasive, violent replacement of an already domiciled culture is well documented. Also there was an absorption and amalgamation with the arrivals.
Cultural preservation is the rare exception when encountering a mass migration, limited to hermit cultures in remote regions. Cultural accommodation from pluralistic interactions as an expedient facilitation for commerce. That's why the present Maga atavism and replacement theories in both White supremacist and Black chauvinist doctrines see an inevitable slippery source of degradation leading to figurative and literal degeneration of the 'blood lines' by the influx of alien newcomers and their blood lines, as well as cultural ways.
BA Ethnicities were involuntary kidnapped migrants. Our longing for that from which we were horrifically amputated has no parallels in total numbers. The closest ones being the Hebrews being brought to Persia from Palestine. Short of an emigration to the 'Motherland' by BA's, there's creating a surrogate culture to the organic motherland experience. B/c of the commerce that exists within regions and between states, there'd still be pluralistic mixing from the transactional and intentional contact.
An ever-changing cultural dynamic is more likely than a static cultural dynamic, even if composed of predominant Afro-centered themes. Those preferred themes are so b/c of their functionality for desired ends than any sui generis Afro qualities. Functionality determines universality of ubiquity of acceptance. The out-moded features of the past, at best, become curated museum artifacts for those persons emotionally beholden to those artifacts and their aesthetic trappings.
In the meantime the organic dynamic chemistry of migration creates the alchemistry of the present, that in the long run honors the productive-culturally, as well as commercially. Life, per se, seeks to thrive: not just a sole signifier. There's a distinction being provocatively nihilistic and that which is innovative. Premises based on the negative aspects of others does more to enable the mirror reflection of one's own regressive traits with the damnable opposites than the qualitative virtues of the protagonistic differences.
